About

My journey into psychology began because I’ve always loved connecting with and helping people. What inspires me most are the moments when we feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported in a safe, warm space. I believe in those moments, we can be honest with ourselves and reflect on what truly matters, without fear of judgment. Creating this kind of environment and walking alongside people as they explore and shape more fulfilling lives is at the heart of my work.

My Approach

I believe every person is unique, with their own story, strengths, and challenges. My approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and deep respect for your individuality. I work with adults using a depth-oriented perspective that honors the full complexity of human experience.

Life often leaves us carrying patterns that no longer serve us, emotions that feel overwhelming or confusing, or needs we haven’t fully recognized. You might notice feelings of sadness, anxiety, stress, or emotions you can’t quite name - or simply curiosity about your inner world. I see these symptoms and experiences not as problems to be fixed, but as signs to understand yourself. They can be invitations to reflect, where gentle attention and support can make a difference.

Therapy begins with genuine connection. In a warm, safe, and supportive space, I will walk alongside you, helping you explore and understand your experiences, find meaning with compassion, and discover ways to take responsibility and make choices that support who you are and who you’re becoming. Together, we work collaboratively and at a pace that feels right for you, honoring both what you bring to our sessions and what emerges between us.

Building Self Compassion

I also believe your relationship with yourself is the most important one you’ll ever have. Learning to know and accept yourself, offering yourself the same kindness you’d give a loved one, is transformative. Life will always bring challenges, but with awareness, compassion, and curiosity, we can navigate them more fully. Therapy is where we build this inner support system, strengthening self-trust and equipping you with skills that stay with you long after our sessions.

Approach

My foundation is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and I continue to deepen my practice through weekly supervision and additional training in psychodynamic approaches.

I also integrate techniques from other approaches when helpful, including:

• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

• Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

• Mindfulness-Based Cancer Recovery (for cancer patients)

• Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (for early-stage dementia patients)

Testimonials

"Özge helped me get to know myself better. I found her through a referral, and she is sincere, lovely, and non-judgmental. I have always been treated with respect, and she consistently considers my health and mental well-being. I initially came for help with work stress, but it became clear it was also about my fear of disappointing others and perfectionism. Through our sessions, I gained self-understanding and was able to share experiences I hadn’t discussed before, thanks to the trust she fosters. It amazes me how the topics we explore are all connected and how one insight often opens the door to understanding something else in my life. Overall, I have felt supported and valued, and I am very satisfied with the progress we’ve made."

"I started seeing Özge after a breakup and was hesitant about trying online counseling. She helped me revisit my thoughts about therapy and encouraged me to give it a chance, and I’m so glad I did. It takes time, and it is not always easy, but having the right person by your side makes all the difference. Özge is compassionate, inspiring, non-judgmental, and truly professional. I genuinely look forward to each session with her"

"I found Özge when I was looking for a space to talk and better understand my inner world. She structured our sessions thoughtfully, and we explored my past in depth. I really appreciated the education and practical tools she provided. She taught me about cognitive errors, explored my patterns and I am getting better at navigating my overthinking and understanding my thoughts. Özge brings humor, a warm smile, and a therapeutic voice to our sessions. I feel safe around her. Maybe most importantly, she helped me build a relationship with myself that I had always struggled to develop."
